Doordarshan earned Rs 57.1 crore in the 23rd e-auction on 19 October 2015. According to Mr. C K Jain, 14 TV channels successfully won slots in DD Freedish platform. Where 10 private television channels renewed its subscription and 4 New channels adding in this platform shortly.
Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan) had set a reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore per slot of DD Freedish for the online e-auction, this e-auction was conducted by Noida-based C1 India on behalf of Prasar Bharati. but good news is that all the bids were between Rs 4 to Rs 4.2 crore.
Here is new channels to be adding on DD Freedish; Sony Mix, Homeshop18, Sadhana National, Big Magic Ganga. Other 10 channels renewed thier subscription for annul, channels are; India TV, ABP News, Cinema TV, Maha Movies, B4u Movies, Sony Mix, 9XM Music, Dabangg, Mastii, Time TV and enterr 10 movies.
Currently, Freedish has 64 channels including its own channels, very soon 112 channels will be start after official clearance.
