The Hindu :  Cable TV operators mainly from Bangalore and Mysore region, staging a black flag protest outside the venue of a seminar on the Digital Addressable System, in Bangalore on 18 February 2013.

Cable TV operators in the city staged a black flag protest outside the venue of a seminar on the Digital Addressable System here on 18 February.

Operators associations, mainly from Bangalore and Mysore which are part of Phase II of the digitisation drive, demanded that the March 31 deadline be extended. The Members of the Karnataka State Cable TV Operators Association submitted a memorandum to Yogendra Pal, Technical Advisor, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a key participant at the seminar.

Presence of Mr. Yogendra Pal, Technical Advisor to I&B Ministry for DAS was also objected to as operators felt that he was promoting private companies like Cisco, Dolby, Ericsson & MCBS in the name of DAS at the cost of cable operators.
